AMPP Awards Now Open for Nominations
Do you know someone whose work in the materials protection and performance industry deserves recognition on a global stage? Nominations are open for the 2025 AMPP Awards, honoring outstanding achievement across research, technical innovation, teaching, mentoring, field work, and professional service.
This year’s program introduces two new awards:
- Robert Baboian Successful and Innovative Field Application of Corrosion Technology Award — recognizing field practitioners who excel in corrosion control through exceptional execution, innovative techniques, and practical problem-solving.
- AMPP Craftmanship Award — celebrating individuals whose skill, passion, discipline, and dedication result in superior field performance.
Submissions are open until September 30, 2025.
AMPP Board Chair Juan Caballero Appointed Coordinator of SPIA Corrosion Commission
AMPP congratulates Board Chair Juan Caballero on his appointment as Coordinator of the Corrosion Commission for the Panamanian Society of Engineers and Architects (SPIA).
In this role, Juan will lead initiatives to strengthen corrosion prevention efforts in Panama, promote professional collaboration, share best practices to protect critical infrastructure, and represent the commission in national and international forums.
