AMPP has launched the AMPP Knowledge Hub, a unified digital platform bringing together corrosion engineering resources, protective coatings standards, technical papers, industry publications, books, webcasts, podcasts, and historical archives in one searchable library.

Designed for professionals in materials protection, corrosion control, coatings application, and asset integrity, the Knowledge Hub combines smart search, deep technical indexing, and continuous updates from Materials Performance, CoatingsPro, and CORROSION journal.

Do I need an AMPP membership to access the Knowledge Hub?

Anyone can access the Knowledge Hub, but AMPP members receive access to a significantly larger library of exclusive resources, including select journal articles, standards, and other technical materials.

What types of resources are included?

Technical papers, standards, books, journal articles, webcasts, podcasts, historical content dating back to 1945, and more.

How often is the Knowledge Hub updated?

New content is added regularly, including updates from Materials Performance, CoatingsPro, and CORROSION journal.

Can I search across AMPP publications and technical resources at once?

Yes. The Knowledge Hub provides a unified search experience across AMPP publications and technical resources.

AMPP and SASO agreement

AMPP and SASO Sign Technical Cooperation Program Agreement

AMPP has signed a new Technical Cooperation Program agreement with the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), strengthening collaboration in standards development, corrosion control, coatings performance, and materials protection across the Middle East and international markets.

The agreement creates a framework for the exchange of technical data, alignment of emerging and draft standards, participation in international standardization committees, and coordinated training programs.

AMPP Selected for National Shipbuilding Research Program Award

AMPP has been selected for its first-ever lead project under the National Shipbuilding Research Program, a major milestone strengthening AMPP’s role in U.S. maritime workforce development, corrosion protection, and coatings performance.

The awarded project, Accelerated Workforce Readiness via Dynamic Workforce Modeling, will use AI-enabled workforce analytics to identify critical skills gaps across corrosion protection, coatings application, and materials performance roles.

AMPP Vietnam’s First Networking Event Marks a Milestone

AMPP Vietnam Chapter networking event

On October 15, 2025, the AMPP Vietnam Chapter held its first networking session in Ho Chi Minh City, bringing together professionals to connect, exchange insights, and explore future initiatives in corrosion awareness, protective coatings, and materials protection.

Chapter Chair Bui Anh Quoc shared the story behind the Chapter’s formation, while Vice Chair Hoang Duy Dong announced the upcoming Vietnam Painters Competition 2026.

AMPP GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS

Advocating for the Future of Materials Performance and Infrastructure Safety

In 2025, AMPP’s Government Affairs team continued elevating the organization’s presence in Washington, D.C., strengthening relationships with federal agencies, congressional offices, and partner associations.

Defense & Readiness
Support corrosion prevention, protective coatings, and asset readiness across the defense industrial base.
Workforce
Address shortages affecting skilled painters, blasters, coatings applicators, and other critical trades.
Infrastructure Safety
Collaborate with PHMSA, DOE, and congressional committees on pipeline safety and materials performance.

Due to a volatile congressional schedule and the government shutdown, AMPP canceled planned Advocacy Days in 2025. The organization plans to reinstate these events in 2026 and host a Government Relations Forum at AMPP Annual in March.
